Key Colony Beach Recreation

Much like the rest of the Florida Keys, Key Colony Beach may be small, but it’s big on fun! The city offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages — from pickleball and tennis to playgrounds and open spaces perfect for family time.

Guests are welcome to borrow balls and other equipment on the honor system. Just be sure to return everything in good condition after use. The equipment shed is conveniently located between the two Public Works buildings at 460 8th Street.

Florida Keys Aquarium Encounter

Family-friendly and educational, the hands-on exhibits at the aquarium are among the top things to do in the Florida Keys. Each one offers exciting, up-close encounters designed to inspire wonder — and many of them are included with admission! If you are feeling really adventurous, swim alongside vibrant tropical fish, hand-feed playful Cownose rays, and safely feed sharks through the glass wall for a truly unforgettable underwater experience. Bahia Honda State Park

Famous for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking sunsets, Bahia Honda State Park is a must-see Florida Keys destination. Once made accessible by Henry Flagler’s historic railroad in the early 1900s, this tropical paradise now offers visitors a chance to relax, swim, snorkel, and maybe even do a little fishing in the beauty of the Keys’ natural scenery year-round.
